What is a Licensed Producer?+
A Licensed Producer is a Health Canada approved cannabis company that can cultivate, process, and sell medical cannabis directly to patients online or by phone.
Where do I get my medical cannabis?+
Medical cannabis is ordered online or by phone and delivered to your home. Licensed Producers use delivery options such as Canada Post, FedEx, and Purolator.
How is medical cannabis administered?+
Medical cannabis may include oils, capsules, topicals, suppositories, sublingual sprays, mints, oral strips, dissolving tablets, vapes, and flowers.
What is Compassion Pricing?+
Many Licensed Producers offer reduced pricing when cost becomes a barrier. Discounts may require proof of income such as a Notice of Assessment or disability statement.
Are there Paediatric or Senior Discounts?+
Yes. Most Licensed Producers offer discounts for patients under 18 and seniors. These discounts are usually applied after registration based on the patient’s age.
Do I get a medical cannabis card?+
No. Patients now receive a Registration Document that confirms medical authorization in Canada, including practitioner details, grams per day, and expiry date.
Can I claim medical cannabis on my taxes?+
Yes. Medical cannabis may be claimed as a medical expense. Patients should review Canada Revenue Agency guidance or speak with a tax professional.
